The family story

From humble beginnings

A history of pioneering

FINDELN

Mario was born and raised in a family of six in the agricultural village of Findeln that is located just above Zermatt. Today, Findeln has become a popular tourist destination itself.

HEXENBAR

When he was 26 years old, Mario started his first gastro project, the Hexenbar - and still until today, you can visit the iconic, cozy establishment for a drink in Zermatt.

MOUNT EVEREST

In May 2006, Mario was the first Western mountain climber that transitioned across the peak of Mount Everest - but it wasn't planned, rather a coincidence.

108 DAYS

In 2008, Mario and friends chartered a PC-12 (Pilatus) and flew around the globe in 108 days, stopped in 22 countries - this remains as the most inspiring events of his lifetime.

7 HEAVENS

Completed in 2016, as one of the first luxury residential projects in Zermatt, the development attracted many local and foreign investors.

ZERMAMA

The Admiral hotel has been a family property for a long time, in 2019 the hotel was relaunched as Hotel Zermama under the supervision of Sandrine Julen.

PRESENT

Now a family office is set up that is focusing on the vision of the group and backing of the next generation of pioneers that can create a better tomorrow.
